The EM-HDLC provides a simple but versatile bridge between Legacy equipment using SDLC/HDLC protocol and modern TCP/IP based equipment. The units act as seamless translation devices passing packets between the IP and serial domain, or they can be programmed to execute complex functions based on the nature of the polls on the IP or serial side.
Housed in a rugged metal case, the units are fully capable of operating in the industrial environment and may optionally be rack mounted or DIN rail mounted.
The device enable legacy equipment to communicate with IP based servers, or they may be used to interconnect legacy SDLC/HDLC equipment over a LAN or through an Internet connection. The devices support a number of encoding formats such as NRZ, NRZI, Manchester, Biphase-Space and Biphase-Mark to name a few. The outputs may be configured to idle high or idle Flags.
The units are tested to a variety of standards Housed in a rugged metal case, the units are fully capable of operating in the industrial environment and may optionally be rack mounted or DIN rail mounted.
