Luxcom storms the Gulf Show
June 25, 2008

Luxcom and its Gulf area representative Bayanat, recently participated in the 2008 Dubai Airport Show held from June 2 to June 4. Attracting a record number of 600 suppliers from 40 countries, and over 100 civil aviation authorities and airports, Luxcom was amongst the best in the industry showcasing it's flagship multiplexer the OM200. This versatile OC-3 SONET multiplexer transmits multiple voice and data streams over a pair of high speed optical fibers.
Capitalizing on record oil-generated surpluses, GCC countries are investing $43 billion in various airport projects and the expansion of existing facilities, including the Abu Dhabi airport in which Luxcom is providing the fiber optic data communications equipment. The Abu Dhabi International Airport expansion will increase the airport’s capacity to 40 million passengers per annum. According to a recent study of the Middle East, South Asia and Africa, more than $68 billion is being invested in various airport projects in the Gulf, Jordan, Iraq, India, Sri Lanka and across the African continent.
